Classic Combat Point Fighting is a traditional sport karate format focused on speed, control, and clean technique in a light-contact setting.
GENERAL RULES
Format
- Point sparring
- Controlled contact only
- Matches are paused after each successful scoring technique
- Emphasis on precision, speed, and control
Length of Match
- Matches last 2 minutes, unless a competitor reaches a 7-point lead (Seven Point Spread Rule)
- If tied at the end of regulation, a sudden victory (first point wins) round is held
- Absolute matches: 2-minute round, must win by 2 points, 10-point spread rule

Point Values
- 1 Point: All legal hand techniques
- 2 Points: All legal kicking techniques
- 3 Points: Jump spinning kicks to the head
- 1 Point: Penalty points
